Better Process Control School, BPCS (Manila, Philippines)

Under 21 CFR 113 and 114, the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) requires that “all operators of retorts, processing systems, and aseptic processing and packaging systems, and container closure inspectors shall be under the operating supervision of a person who has attended a school approved by the Commissioner for giving instruction in retort operations, processing systems operations, aseptic processing and packaging systems operations, and container closure inspections, and has been identified by that school as having satisfactorily completed the prescribed course of instruction.” The Better Process Control School of the University of Hawaii as conducted by Dr. Aurora A. Saulo is approved by the Commissioner of the U.S. FDA as meeting the required courses of instruction.
These manufacturers are exempt from FSMA Compliance only for microbiological hazards due to Clostridium botulinum. Processors remain required to address other existing and reasonably foreseeable biological, chemical, and physical hazards, institute effective preventive controls, perform implementation procedures, and develop a recall plan. The Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF) course will be conducted on April 16-18, 2018 at the same course venue.
